Your client texts "running 10 late". You actually see it.
NoShowText sends appointment reminders from your Google Calendar or Calendly, 24 hours and 2 hours out, and delivers every reply to your phone. Confirm, reschedule, cancel or plain words, nothing gets lost.Card required, $39 a month after the trial, cancel any time. No reminder limit.
How it works
Connect
Sign in with Google Calendar or Calendly. Paste one consent sentence into your booking form (we give you the sentence, with your business name filled in).
We text
Each client gets a reminder 24 hours and 2 hours before, between 8am and 9pm their time, as "NoShowText for your business". They reply C, R, X or in their own words.
You see it
Confirmations, cancellations and late notices show up on your phone and in the 5pm summary. A reschedule sends your own booking link. A question is relayed, and you answer it with a text.
What you get
Replies reach you
Calendly's reminders are one-way and its own help page says invitee replies are not delivered. Ours land on your cell, with the client's name and appointment, and you can answer by text.
Confirm, reschedule, cancel
Clients reply C, R or X. A reschedule sends your own booking link. Plain words are read and passed to you.
Calendly and Google Calendar
Connect the calendar you already use. Nothing changes in how you book.
Owner summary at 5pm
Confirmations, cancellations, late notices and anyone with no mobile on file, in one message.
Quiet hours
Reminders go out between 8am and 9pm, never in the middle of the night.
STOP handled
A client who replies STOP gets one confirmation and nothing more, across every business on NoShowText, until they reply START.
No cap
We count nothing. Every appointment gets both reminders.
Nothing to run
Connect your calendar once. Pause with one text when you take a week off.
Who it is for
One plan. $39 a month.
Questions
Does this work around Calendly's 250 SMS limit?
Yes. Calendly's Workflows send one-way texts from a number you cannot change, with a monthly credit cap per seat (US and Canada texts are free of credits, other countries use them) and no way for clients to reply. NoShowText reads your Calendly bookings and sends the reminders itself, from our number, and handles the replies. Turn off Calendly's SMS step so clients do not get two.
Google Calendar has no text reminders. How does this add them?
Google removed SMS reminders in 2019 and never brought them back. NoShowText reads your Google Calendar (view only, you choose which calendar), finds the client's mobile number in the event using a rule you set (a line in the description, the title, or a guest's phone), and texts the reminder. Nothing changes in Google.
I use Square Appointments. Do I need this?
Square sends its own reminder texts, and its reply handling depends on your plan (Square Plus is $49 per location). Test it with your own phone first. If you want two-way replies and an owner relay, NoShowText connects to Google Calendar and Calendly today; Square is next. Add your email on the sample page and we will tell you when Square is live.
Do I need my clients' permission to text them?
Yes, and we make it simple. Your booking form gets one sentence (we hand it to you) that names NoShowText and your business and says what the texts are. Typing the number next to that sentence is the consent. Before the first reminder, each number also gets one confirmation text with STOP and HELP. We keep the log.
What number do the texts come from?
A single NoShowText toll-free number, verified with the carriers for appointment reminders. Every text starts "NoShowText for {business}:" so your client knows who it is. Clients can save the number; it never changes.
What happens if a client replies STOP?
They get one confirmation and nothing more from us, for any business on NoShowText, until they reply START. You see "opted out" in your summary. That is the law and the carriers' rule, and we cannot override it.
Do you text Canadian numbers?
Not yet. US mobile numbers only at launch. Landlines are detected and skipped, and you see "no mobile on file" in the summary instead of a failed text.
What if a client replies in words instead of C, R or X?
That is the point. "Running 10 late", "can I bring both dogs", "something came up Tuesday": an assistant reads it, confirms, reschedules or cancels when that is clearly what they mean, and otherwise passes the message straight to your phone. You reply by text and your words go back to the client. It never pretends to be a person and never answers for you.
